A Brief Word of Encouragement for you…

Psalms 61:3  For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

People of God, blessings on you this day!  May I remind you of some really good news?  Today, I want to officially remind you that God is a Shelter for you. Not only for the Psalmist, but for you as well!

A shelter is defined as 1) refuge, 1a) from rain or storm, from danger

Wow… remember that when you are sheltered from a storm you have no idea how bad things really are outside. The plants are taking a beating.  The animals are running for cover, but you are standing on the inside looking out in most cases.  Our God is a shelter from all the invisible hail storms that try to do us harm.  Our God is a mighty shelter.

Notice how personal the psalmist makes this.  “Thou hast been a shelter FOR ME…”  He acknowledged God’s personal care for him.  That is important.  I don’t need to know that God is able to be a shelter to the world only, but, I need to know that He is a shelter for me.  And so do you!

Look further at this really good news!  The psalmist goes on to say, He is a strong tower from the enemy!  He is my place of elevation.  He is the one that I can run to and see things from a higher perspective.  He is my strong tower from the enemy. Hallelujah!

This means that as I run to him, I am sitting in an advantaged place.  I can see the enemy coming from afar off.  I am looking down on the full plans of my enemies.  What a stark difference from this posture versus one who is in a pit and cannot see his enemy coming towards them. That is not the place for the authentic disciple of Jesus Christ.  Thank God we have a strong tower that we can run to. A place of vision, a place to compile an intelligent response based on the revelation we are now experiencing.

Thank the Lord..!  Be reminded this day that the Lord has done and is doing great things for you!

Jesus is Lord,

Hold Your Ground!

The word of the Lord came to me this morning in a strong and mighty way. I heard these words… “Neither give place to the devil”…  I asked the Lord if that was His voice and then this verse was repeated. “Neither give place to the devil”…  I knew then that I needed to tell God’s people to hold their ground.

Look at Eph 4:27 in context.

Eph 4:23>  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Eph 4:24  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Eph 4:25  Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

Eph 4:26  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Eph 4:27  Neither give place to the devil.

The First thing we must do is to be renewed in our minds. The Greek word ananēoō  (Pronouced an-an-neh-o'-o) means to be Renovated and Reformed in our thinking. In order to truly hold your ground you have to think like you are a child of the Most High God.  You must think like one who is in covenant with God. You must think like one who is made righteous before God, not by your own works, but by Jesus the Lamb of God and His great sacrifice.

Without the renewal of the mind, one is more inclined to give up or surrender their place. My word to you today is to Hold your Ground!  Do not give up your place of protection, authority, freedom, Sonship and power. You are not some unsuspecting victim. If you are Born-Again, then you are a Kingdom citizen who understands your rights and privileges in Jesus Christ! I want to help you understand all the more!

Verse 23 says “be renewed” as I stated.  Verse 24 says that we must “put on” something… put on what?  Put on “the new man”.  This new deposit we have received from the Father. This new identity we have been given in Christ. Hallelujah!

Look now at verse 26. It says in essence, “be angry, but don’t sin”.  Don’t let your spirit rest with an unresolved issue in your life.  Do not settle in for the evening with wrath and unforgiveness still swirling within your soul.

Then…!!!  The Spirit of God through the Apostle Paul says, after you have done all of the things mentioned such as being renewed in your mind and putting on the new man, then it goes on to say-- Neither give place.  Don’t exchange places.  Do not shift seats of dominion and authority.  Give place to whom? Neither give place to the devil.  The revelation here is twofold.  We are not to give place to him through internal issues and wrath.  But secondly, we are not to give up our place of authority.  We must hold our ground!

Beloved, if your name is in the Lamb’s book of life there is a reality to your “spiritual diplomatic immunity” that you don’t want to miss.  Your life IS covered by the blood of the Lamb. You are more than a conqueror.  This is more than a line in a song.  If you have made peace with His Majesty the Lord Jesus Christ.  You are victorious now.  Circumstances don’t define your victory.  Victory is based on who you are in Christ!  This reality alone can and will change your circumstances!

Do not give place to the devil.  You are the Head and not the tail. You are the one that is above only and not beneath. (Deut 28:13).  Do not allow yourself to be scooted out of position.  Hold your ground today and every day.

The Mercy of God Unveiled!! An absolute MUST HEAR revelation… PERIOD!

Mercy! …Mercy! …My mercy is available declares the Lord!

The New Testament Greek word for MERCY is (#G1653) [eleeo] pronounced  [el-eh-eh'-o]

Thayer Bible Definition:

      1)  to help one afflicted or seeking aid

      2)  to bring help to the wretched

Have you ever been afflicted? Have you ever needed aid?  How about this one: Do you remember a time in your life when by God’s standard you were considered wretched?

If so, then you’ve been a candidate for the Mercy of God!

(Lam 3:22)  It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Consider this: If you or someone you know has ever needed mercy AND since God is full of mercy and abundant in goodness as the scripture declares, WHY are so many living without this reality dominating their lives?  WHY are so many perishing without salvation?  WHY do so many live so far beneath God’s intentions for their lives? This revelatory insight will spark a new found freedom in every area!

Enjoying Jesus,
